I don't know who was Sathya Sai Baba, till I came to Bangalore and heard about him from people standing outside one of biggest ever medical institution I have ever seen, with cure of patients free or minimum fees .
For me he is one of us who had the will and courage to do good for people around him, rich or poor whosoever came to him .. I am not a fan, but I respect him for whatever he did for the people of India ...

There is only one religion, the religion of Love;

On April 24th, 2011, Sathya Sai Baba left his body. Sathya Sai baba was a highly revered spiritual teacher whose life and message inspired millions of people throughout the world to spiritually uplift themselves and lead more purposeful lives. His messages are universal, completely non-sectarian and does not prescribe the practice of any particular religion. Particularly noteworthy are the numerous free educational institutions, hospitals, and other charitable institutions he set up and operated during his lifetime.
Here is a brief summary of his teachings:
- Respect for all religions - Practicing oneness regardless of apparent outside differences
- Selfless service (Karma Yoga) - Service to the poor, sick and needy without any expectation of reward.
- Divine love (Bhakti Yoga) - Love for God and love for all of humanity
- Wisdom (Gyana Yoga) - Living with right knowledge
- Dispassion - Reducing our attachments to the world outside
- Discernment - Not getting carried away by what appears outside, and instead to seek the truth within
- Non-violence (Ahimsa) - Making all decisions keeping peace as the higher goal
- Right conduct (Dharma)- Doing unto others what you wish them to do unto you - to treat all as your own self
